It's summertime so you know what that means, time to have fun. Cookouts, swimming, vacation, hanging out with friends and no school. Summertime is also the period in the year when learning loss happens. The summer slide happens when kids lose academic skills and habits gained during the school year. This is because they're not using their brains in optimum ways. Kids must exercise their thinking skills on a regular basis. Just because school isn't in session doesn't mean children should stop learning.

We understand that our children have had a very hard time academically before the pandemic, but more so during and after. So much learning has been loss or interrupted during a time when children are at their developmental peak. We have a responsibility as a community to get our children back on track even outside of the school classrooms.

Our mission with this summer program is to stimulate the mind, exercise the body and realign critical thinking through STEAM and Social & Emotional (SEL) based learning.
